Born and raised in South Dakota, Josh grew up
enjoying the outdoors hunting, fishing and playing sports (particularly
baseball!) However not being a world class athlete and wanting adventure and the
opportunity to see more of the world. Josh joined the Marine Corps on Sept 11th,
2000 and reported to MCRD San Diego in July 2001. After completing Recruit
Training & Marine Combat Training he did additional training at NAS in Meridian,
MS. He then served at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, CA before a knee injury cut
short his time in the Marine Corps after two years. After receiving an Honorable
Discharge he returned to South Dakota and focused his attention to his other
career of choice working in the Film Industry.
He landed his first gig working for MTV’s Nick @ Night as a Production Assistant
in the summer of 2005 and since than has also worked for NBC’s “Treasure
Hunters.” Finding time in-between working as a Production Assistant and
Screenplay Writer he has also become a film producer for the “One Second Film!”
All of the proceeds from the film will go to charity!
The future looks to be busy as Josh is about to finish two screenplays and is
also working on joining the production team for the film adaptation of Jack Van
Der Geest book, “Was God On Vacation?” His knowledge and research in military
history should prove to be handy when working on the film.
When not working on a tv or film project, chances are likely that he will be at
Yankee Stadium to catch a ball game.
